Unhappy Utricularia Graminifolia

I have been wanting to do a UG Iwagumi scape for several years. I finally took the plunge and started this 20 gallon long tank mid-March with $80 worth of UG from Buce plants.

Over four months I have got the UG to completely carpet just in time to move and need to tear this down.

I'm torn over this decision because this tank has taken a lot of time and effort, but the tendency of this plant to float is a royal pain in the butt. Probably just going to throw the carpet out as nobody in Idaho (Treasure Valley) seems to be on these forums anymore. Anyway, just wanted to share.

Just empty the water, Pack the tank with moist crushed news paper made like base ball size.this will reduce weight, keep the scape mostly in place if you are careful. You can transport the tank this way in a car if you are not going too far.

the second option is to divide the tank floor into lunch box sized portions. try removing and placing the entire section along with substrate and UG in plastic boxes. You will be able to carry and "Mostly" piece it back together later.

I hope this helps. The tank is looking beautiful.
