Name That Problem
I started a new aquarium 25 days ago. It cycled last week.
I have noticed that some of the plants are not doing to well. The rotala rotundifolia orange juice is growing smaller and smaller leaves. But only some of them have this problem. The green rotala rotundifolia is growing perfectly. The nesaea pedicellata golden has small deformed new growth and the old growth is getting covered in algae.
CO2- 2ish hours before "lights on" I have a planted plus 24/7 hcl and the full light is on from 12-6. Co2 turns off at 6. (Brightness of light is set to 8 out of 10 brightness)
I turned the light to full brightness for a week and that is when the diatoms and algae took off. Turned the light down and algae has slowed down a lot.
Ph before co2- 8.1
ph after co2 6.5
dosing every other day with a dosing pump.
Ppm per dose:
Nesaea pedicellata looks like it might be starting to grow normally but it is a little early to tell.
