Plant ID

Hello, anyone know what is the name of this plant? It was unintentionally I think included in bunch of water lettuce that I got.

It also looks like Limnophila Sessiflora. Hmmm...

It's not. The distinct petiole and purplish coloration give it away. Those fine leaved Limnophila are always green.

Also, telling those aforementioned Limnophila species apart without emersed growth and flowers is very difficult and often impossible. Could bed L. sessiliflora (species names are not capitalized), heterophylla, aquatica, indica or a couple others and unless you get it from a reliable source (as in, not a pet shop...), you just don't know.

I can try grow them emersed while they still alive. Is dirt alone enough to grow them emersed? No need to cap right?

Btw, thanks, learned new thing. I didn't know the species names are not capitalized.

Well, Camomba is an obligate aquatic. If it's doing well and you let it grow, you might see it put up some tiny oval-shaped floating leaves.
