Help! White tips on new growth on purple cabomba

In the past day or two I’ve begun to see white tips on mostly the new grown on my purple cabomba. There is also a bit on long green hair algae that’s sprouted up in the tank in the past two weeks but not very much (just in case there’s a standard correlation).
Does anyone know what deficiency the white tips usually indicates?
It’s a low tech tank with medium light. I’m fertilizing with NilocG micro and macro with excel.
The my red dwarf lillies are very happy as are S Reppens if that helps at all.
I’ve heard the Cabomba wants a lot of Potassium but from what I’ve read this doesn’t match up low K2O

Low co2 decrease light intensity/ duration.

Just a guess. Gotta find the limiting factor. In low tech itís usually co2

Your plants are prob at med light at the substrate as the plant grows up so does light intensity/ co2 demand.

In the past they had been taller with no issue like this. I trimmed and planted the tops 2 weeks ago. It’s happening to both the originals and the trimmings. I don’t think it’s the actual height. Any other theories? It could be co2, does a lack of that cause white tips on new growth generally?
TIA

Lack of co2 with that plant caused me white tips. Could be a number of things

The cities website says it’s about 1 grain per gallon or ‘slightly hard’. I’ll do a test in a day or two. What are you thinking?
