New and need help identifying plant

Morning all. I’m new to this forum, and have been into fish keeping with live plants for a little over a year. I purchased some java moss and was surprised to see a mystery plant grow out of it later. Can anyone tell me what it is ? Thanks for your help!

Looks more like broadleaf water sprite (Ceratopteris cornuta) to me.

Not sure of the species (maybe thalictroides), but definitely Ceratopteris and not water wisteria (Hygrophila difformis).
ROYWS3 and Starwarsfan like this.

Really? I'm surprised. Maybe you don't live in a place with an aquarium club? Seems it's always circulating at places like that. Maybe it's not as common any more.

Glad for you that you were able to get your hands on some water sprite. It's a great plant - either in the substrate or floating and Tinanti is right - it's not as common as it once was.
Good Score!

sadly no clubs around here. i very seldom even meet people in some of the pet stores here that do planted tanks. 95% of people here just do plastic plants. i have tried to post ads at petsmart and petco about trying to start one but they said it wasn't allowed. i posted on here trying to start one also and didn't get any interest.
