Plant ID

Hi,

Bought this used tank from someone in gumtree and it came with some crypts in it. (Photo 1).

Hope you guys could identify it for me.

It also has some white roots looking stuff on the substrate not sure if it's roots from crypts? (Photo 2, not the Monte Carlo).

Also im using a nemo light 18watts, is it too much light or enough?

Thanks guys!

Regards,
Rapha

I really had to tilt my head for this one, haha, looks like bacopa to me, bacopa monnieri.

Sorry about that. The short one on the second photo I know it's Monte Carlo, cause the photo is so up close and I had trouble planting them it looks like a little Bacopa.

Im more curious about the crypts as in what type of crypts they are and what requirements as in lighting for them would be.

Thanks anyway !

I mean, it looks super small, it could be pearlweed too.

The group of crypts in the back looks like wendtii green.

Crypt species can look a lot different under different growing conditions. Its probably Wendtii green in back and Wendtii brown in front.

The white stuff is roots, either from the crypts or whatever was there before

Dont know anything about that light. Low light just means they can thrive under low light, they also thrive under high levels

I have wendtii, spiralis and undulata in high light, and they do great. They will likely melt so they can transition, but will bounce back nicely, especially with well-established rhyzomes.
