Cryptocoryne Crispatula Tropica 1-2 grow and Cryptocoryne Spiralis

Hi there, what's the difference between the two? Which grows taller out of the two? Which looks better and if you have any pictures of them, could you share it please. Thank you.

The crispulata would most likely be balansae, the big long flowing leaves in the back of the first picture while spiralis has long more rigid leaves like in the 2nd pic

The Tropica 1-2 grow Crypt. is Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae which should give you more information to go on rather than trying to look for C. crispatula in general as there are at least eight different C. crispatula varieties. balansae is a commonly found plant. You should have no issues finding pictures and more information of growth habits and needs with the use of the full species name. Iím guessing youíll be comparing it to C. spiralis var. spiralis, which is also quite common and easy to find info for.

I think the crispulata is the balansae. From your pictures the crispulata looks better. I think I'll be ordering myself of the balansae.

If you were to trim them from the top (to maintain the height), would they die. I have another cryptocoryne, not sure what it is but that's what happened to it. The old leaves have a calcium deficiency which is being fixed. Here's the cryptocoryne I have (not sure what it is but it's next to the wenditi in the picture and in front of the anubias). To continue you to go off topic is the second picture cryptocoryne usteriana (that's what it was sold to me as).
