Bacopa Monnieri trimming question

I just trimmed a large amount of bacopa (moneywort) in my 10 gallon and want to replant the trimmings but I have nowhere to put them at the moment (I cannot get to the replanting tonight), will they survive in a ziploc with water for a bit? If not I have an empty tank right now that is full with water but no substrate (was using it as a temp tank and its still up), will they be okay without being in substrate?

Floating them in the other tank will work for a few days. Also, getting a paper towel nice and wet, laying the plants on the paper towel, then putting them in the zip lock bag will also work. This is actually how many of us ship plants all over the country.

I think I'll try the paper towel one, thank you

I have even used a small rubber band and a piece of lave rock/stone.
Sometimes floating they get all twisted trying to get to the light!
