What is your GH? Do you know your specific Ca and Mg levels? Also co2? What is your light?

If soft could be a ca mg def. I had a mg def as I have soft water with a gh of only 3 and more specifically my mg was only 2. So at water change day I ensure my gh is 5 by adding 2gh using gh booster. This fixed my issue so maybe try gh booster and see if that helps.

You should get a gh test kit. API makes a gh/kh test kit that works good and is easy to use.

Hi harilp,

What fish types do you have in the tank? Any plecostomus, ancistrus, or other algae eaters?

Yes if your mg is what is low. But what if your ca is low? Then adding mg will not help. This is why I suggest gh booster which will have ca, k, and mg.

Ok then it will not be a mg deficiency I hope
Must be ca deficiency then and for K it contains in kno3 as per my dosing I already get about 6.44ppm K
So then for ca what salts should I buy ?
