Help!
I'm not sure if I put enough substrate in my tank! Just started my first tank today... Put in the substrate (bought a kit) used the bag included but when I added water all my monte carlos I planted uprooted and floated around did I just not put enough substrate in the bottom?

Can you give some more details, such as what kind of plants, type of substrate, etc.?

A good rule of thumb is 1" minimum for a planted tank.

I got the fluval substrate, the plant that floated was Monte Carlo. I have nowhere near 1" of substrate >.< I'll go back to the store tomorrow and get another bag. I should've known there it was not going to be enough.
