Desired Depth

Hi I'm ordering 100% florite from Bigalsonline.com and I was going to get 4 bags which hit close to 60lbs and in a 55 gallon tank (the tank its for) thats 3". Well I was just wondering if a 2" bed would be fine, of if I still need to shoot for the 3" depth. BTW the plants i'm going to have are wisteria and dwarf sag. yea its kind of an experiment tank lol Thanks guys!

agreed, neither of those plants root very deeply. 2" is plenty. You'll be able to easily add more later if needed.
