how dry should the substrate be in a dry start?

This MIGHT help..

Stock lightly and carry a big filter. - I don't have aquariums. I have ecosystems in a glass box. - Hygrophilaholic and hoarder of Anubias.

When it first started I had a little bit in the first few days. I did nothing to treat it and it went away. Like I said in your other thread air your tank out a few times a day. I've raided that tank several times for new set-up since then. My current one is growing out some Anubias congensis and A. afzeli, various mosses, Bucephalandra sp, Crypts and, Bacopa.
