Question Best planted substrate?

Im tearing my 10 gallon and rebuilding it as a high tech. I was wondering what a good planted substrate was. I would like to spend a little cheaper but i could splurge on something. Anyone know anything about Marfield Controsoil?

I like the aquadert black diamond substrate from aquariumplants.com.

It's not as expensive as ADA stuff and it's excellent.

Mineralized top soil is is cheap. It was delovoped as a cost effective alternative to aquasoil. Controsoil is geared more towards shimpers imo but it's good stuff too. Still, nothing really beats aquasoil.

Ok thanks, I know there is a lot of products like aquasoil out there. I have only tried the eco completes and flourite kinda of stuff, the cheap stuff.

Dirt! with proper amendments you can make a mineralized soil that just as good as aquasoil, and it will probably last longer too. But dirt can also be a huge PITA.

That might be one of the first times I've seen AquaDert recommended from someone using it. I assume it's a montmorillonite based product?
