Substrate questions

What do you think of aquariumplants.com subsrtate? It seems overpriced to me. 9 liters of ADA substrate is like $28, 23 liters (6 gallon bucket) of the AP stuff is $75. When I first saw the AP substrate I thought it looked like a good deal, but it isn't.

I would like a reasonably deep layer in my 75, which is going to be high-tech with pressurized CO2 and T5HO lighting. What can I get that won't cost insane amounts of money? I'm most likely going to cover it with black sand which I already have.

This has been covered a few times, but its basically over priced soil master select (SMS).

Here is a search I did. You can see how many hits that come up.

It works, but you can certainly shop around and find something cheaper for sure if thats the route you are going.
