Lightbulb I found a perfect screen for filtering out big MGOCPM debris!!

The insert from my OXO Good Grips salad spinner. It looks just like this:

I tried using a metal colander, but the holes were too small to separate out more than dust. Then I had a lightbulb moment!

I chuckle, too. I'm an avid cyclist...a VERY male-dominated hobby, especially in competitive pursuits (I do cyclocross, duathlons, and gravel races with my DH on our tandem). I think the male:female ratio in the aquarium community is probably pretty similar to what I experience in my cycling world. But I like it. I hang around with a bunch of women my age (early 40s) and I start to twitch at discussions of scrapbooking and cosmetics.

Ha, no worries, it gave me a good laugh. Around here you probably had at least an 80% chance being right in that assumption. I keep wishing I had a wife to do all the household drudgery so that I could be outside playing or spending more time learning about aquarium stuff...and buying aquarium stuff...and hanging out in LFSs...and playing with stuff in my tanks...

I just wonder if you picked all the bits out before you used it again to make salad.

I saw that people do either, but I didn't want sticks and bark peeking above my gravel cap.
