Best substrate for water params

Hey everyone, i need some opinions on the best substrate i can use for my tank with the water thats coming out of my tap. These are stats directly out of the sink

Ph 7.4
Nitrates phosphates and nitrites are all 0
Ammonia is in between 1 and 2 ppm
Gh is at 12 drop
Kh is at 20 drops

So obviously i dont want a substrate thats going to raise anything.

Flourite, red and black as well as eco-complete is readily available to me by lfs's

So what could i get or order to help me out here, any idea is welcome... Thanks ahead of time.

I think Eco-complete buffers PH to a higher level. Otherwise fluorite and pool filter sand are relatively inert and should not mess with water parameters. In my experience, Schultz Aquatic Soil will also not mess with water parameters, but I would not recommend it on its own as I found rooted plants did not anchor in it well and would always float to the top. However, if you used a base of about 1/2 inch of pool filter sand capped with Schultz Aquatic Soil that may work better to anchor roots.

The only substrate that will significantly alter your water parameters is ADA Aquasoil original and II. Understand that this is a good thing as it will change water parameters to favor plant growth. Most people don't use ADA Aquasoil as it is very expensive, especially if you have to have it shipped ot you. IME, it is worth every penny and superior to anything else out there, with all other things being equal.
