ADA and Eco complete

I am thinking of setting up a tank with an ADA Amazonia base and then a layer of Eco Complete. Would this work? I really like the look of the Eco Complete but understand that the ADA substrate will give you a jump start.

Thanks for your help

I recommend sticking with one substrate. Over time, it'll all mix up anyways.

If you like the look of Eco-Complete, just use that and supplement with adequate EI dosing...unless you have hard water and a higher pH and want to grow soft-water plants.
