can seachem flourite support plants without any additional dosing?

i have about 10 live plants in my 10g tank. i suspect that my liquid fertilizer and my seachem flourish excel may be stressing my shrimps. i plan to stop using them, but i am concerned about my plants.

I doubt that your dosing is harming your livestock as long as you're keeping up with regular water changes, but I've always had successful planted tanks with flourite and no dosing (ranging from 10gal to my current 90gal).

Quite a bit depends on your lighting and plants.

Flourite doesn't provide nutrients for the plants, with the possible exception of a little iron. If you have low light you can rely on the fish poop for the major nutrients, and the Flourite will be fine. But, with more light you will need to dose N, P, K for the plants to live.

Overdosing Excel can harm shrimp, but normal dosing should be alright - speaking of the hardy shrimp, like Cherry red shrimp. I'm not sure Crystal red shrimp could tolerate the Excel.
