Eco/ADA Aquasoil and Pleco?

Starting a new 90gal planted tank.
February in New York means Mineralized Soil is out of the question (unfortunately - otherwise I'd give it a shot).

My questions is this: will Eco-Complete or ADA Aquasoil Amazonia create a problem for my (9 inch) pleco ? Anybody keeping plecos and using either of these successfully? Other suggestions for a good planted tank substrate that's pleco friendly ?

The tank will end up with Apistogrammas once the plants and water stabilize....

I don't see why it would. You'll get a little dust whenever he decides to take off (ADA), but it settles quickly. What type of pleco?

I'm pretty sure he (or she!) is a Hypostomus plecostomus. He's way outgrown the current tank and needs more space. He's around 6-7 years old - my son got him when he was under 2".

I deliberately leave a 1 watt Lunar LED by his favorite side of the tank (to the right on the attached pic) because it causes/forces algae growth.

Thanks !
