Aqua soil vs black flurite

Am about to set up 120g , i have 5 bag of aqua soil amazonia 1, i tried the amazonia 2, but in 3 days the thing turned nto mud, i got it replaced by type 1, am not sure if i should use it , it seems it will always have problem with water clearty, i read some feed back on another websites, alot of guys switching to diffrent type, flourite/, most of the good feed back is for small tanks, am not sure what to do? anyone used that in big tanks with good water clearty?
here are my options:
1-Aqua soil as is.
2-black florite
4-lower layer of aqua soil and to layer of florite/aquariumplants
thanks for your help

I have AS 1 in my 75 gal. I heard all the stories about cloudy water, blah blah blah. When filling my tank, I let the water pour over a large piece of driftwood. The only time my water was cloudy was from the loaches digging around. After I took them out, I've never had cloudy water. I've rescaped twice and the "dust" cleared in about 2 hours, no longer than any other substrate.

The only drawback to AS is the initial setup time. I put down a layer of mulm and left my filter dirty and it took about 18 days before the ammonia and nitrites were 0.
