Traction sand

has anyone used just traction sand as their substrate?
I have 2 70ib tubes of it just sitting thinking
about changeing to sand checking before
going thur all the work of cleaning it,to see if it's ok
to use.

If its pure sand, there shouldn't be a problem. Some traction sand I've seen has salt added to it.

I've used so called traction sand. Was sold as kiln dried sand.
Test your sand out first. The one I purchased worked, doesn't mean yours will. I ended up buying 4 different types of sand before I found one that didn't goof the water parameters.
