No rinsing?

My tanks always cloud up everytime from flourite even if I rinsed the shibby out of the flourite..So I put in a brand new flourite in my tanks(empty), I did not rinsed at all..just cut opened the bag and poured it in. Next I put a thin layer of plain gravel and sand for the tanks..but I rinsed those.. and layed it on top of he flourite..I filled my tank up slowly..for the larger tanks I used a small powerhead..and bent the tubing a little just to slow down the filling.. I placed a small plate in the it wouldnt disperse the gravel. For the smaller tanks I filled it up via the drip method. Next I stuffed my filters w/ course and exra fine polishing pads. Initially there was little to no cloudiness and within a day or so.. my tank is crystal clear. Hope that helps.

My apologies if I was long winded about this.

Here's an older article about "How to Wash FLOURITE" that may help as well.
