ADA AMAZONIA II in TORONTO

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for someone, anyone, who will ship AMAZONIA II to Toronto Canada. Preferably in NY or Michigan or somewhere where shippig won't kill me.

The contact out in BC will not respond to phone calls or email and as far as I can tell they are out of the amazonia II

please help : )

im just south of you and my water is about 8 PH. Is your water the same and if so will the soil cause ph swings everytime you do a water change? We spoke about this before but no-one responded and since your looking for it i though you may have gotten a response. If so mabey we could split a shipment and ill pick it up over the border to help you with your previous misdescrsions

I Like your thinking : )

I don't know anything about the PH swings but I do know many people here in toronto who use it, and say they are grateful they do, and that it beats the other substrates they've tried.

I just checked out shipping options for 4 bags to my place from ADG and the best shipping option is like $270 just for the shipping. Plus the 112 for the soil and then duty on top of that... Thats a bit steep.

Does this seem like the right amount of soil?

err, yeah that is a bit much cost. Im looking for about the same amount and may try a layered sustrate now. you mentioned that you have friends that have used the soil. How did they get around this obstacle? I was also thinking that if you wanted that much why dont you ask your local Big Al's storefront to order it for you? Im sure they would arrange something for ya.

BA's doesn't supply it from what I understand.

I got in touch with the guy out in BC and for the amount needed it will cost about $290 plus tax to get it here to toronto. Thats for the normal AS though because they're sold out of the Amazonia II. They're also sold out of the 9L bags but will sell three 3L bags for the price of a 9L (39.99).

I'm thinking that 300 for a bunch of dirt for a fish tank is a tad bit ridiculous.

My last effort will be contacting my client in Japan and seeing what we can swing.. He's coming over in June.

I might just get some EC though.. its WAY cheaper
