3M colourquartz gravel...anyone has it locally?

I am looking for the T-grade and was wondering if anyone knows any places in So. Cal that carries it...I heard mixed reviews about this type of substrate and I wonder wut you think about it if you have it or heard anything good/bad about it....

also is it safe for shrimps? I am planning on going CRS with the new tank and this type of substrate thanks

I like CQ, think it works great, doesn't provide plant nutrients but holds them down pretty well and also doesn't affect water parameters. I think it would be a great shrimp substrate?

I know there was a thread on here within the last month or two where ppl located a supplier in S.Cal- have you run a search for that?

3m.com

search colorquartz

right hand side will have a dealer locater... look for "all" in the applicator/distributor box, and your state, and it'll list them out for you.

Here is the 3M website search page. Just choose the state you are looking in. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3.../Products/Buy/

Just an update on National Pool Tiles. I didn't check the 2 locations posted on the other thread, but I just got mine at National Pool Tiles San Diego. I paid $19.xx for each bag of the black T grade.

It looks good, and works great so far in my shrimp tank. Took half a day to wash though

Kevin

Currently I have Crystal Red, Crystal Black, Golden/White Bee, Blue Bee, Fire Red, Dark Green, Babaulti Green, Snowball, Fire Red and Unidentified Shrimps for sale. PM me for details.

Hmm...there is a dealer for this not far from me. How much do they generally charge for this stuff? Do they only sell it in pre-packaged bags, like 20 pounds or what have you? How do you think it would do mixed with Eco-Complete from my already established tank?

It's sold in 50lb bags. My 50lb bag (in FL) was about $23. It mixes great with Eco- a friend of mine did that in her tank and it looks awesome! (Tiffie- she's got some pics on this forum somewhere...)

Here's her tank:
