If you just want plain sand you can save yourself a ton of money and just buy some from Home Depot.

Do some research in the substrate forum and you'll save yourself a lot of headaches in the future.

well, i went to the fish store today and there was not a big selection so i bought some estes pebels, not sand yet. i saw the sand price and decided that i will go to home depot for some $3 sand. but i did end up getting a 5 1/2 gallon tank with smaller grain gravel.

lots of people use pool filter sand;thats what I'm putting in my 75 when I set it up,and in my 55 to get rid of the gravel in there.$7-9 for a 50# bag

I have Tahitian moon sand ( nice black sand, but is way overpriced IMO) in a 29 and regular play sand in a 10..using ferts/root tabs, plants grow just as well in the sand as they do in Flourite
