Home Depot sands

Hi,
just wondering if anyone had experimented with Home Depots grading and filling sand ,which come in natural color and appear to be coarser than playsand?
I`d appreciate any thoughts!thanks
Dave

I'm using some very similar sand, that I found near the fireplaces. It has a good size grain and nice natural color. I'm using it in my natural planted tank (with river silt under the sand) and am very pleased with the results.

I used horticulture sand from OSH before and I had liked it. That is my future plans actually for my new 10g. The horticulture sand is coarser than play sand but smaller than gravel which isnice and comes in beiges and little specs of browns and some pale yellows. Its nice.

I've also used it before and it works really well. It's heavy enough that it's easy to plant things in it, cheap, and doesn't cloud the water.
