Cool I got Turface, whats next ?

I am setting up a new 75G planted tank.

I was able to find and buy Turface All Sport RED, in my area . You can't beat 50Lbs bag for $10 , its incredible.

My plan is to add Turface, Fluorite and Latrite as a substrate.

I will also have substrate heater at the bottom of this tank. Just wanted to give it a try.
Later on I am planning to add CO2, but later on.

However now need advice in which order should I lay them so I get the maximum benefit out of all these substrate variety.

Also looking for some COOL rocks to put in my tank, however have no idea where and how to get them.

Local Aq shops have those DULL rock pieces , I am looking for some with more characteristics. If somebody can help me to identify those nice BLACK and GRAY rocks with groves in them (They look like small peaks when have them layed in a tank with green carpeted foreground) , I will try to search them or similar kind, over the web and see where I can get them

Any help will be appreciated.

I am in NC

Thanks,

IMO, I would put Laterite on the bottom topped by Turface topped by Flourite.
The Laterite on the bottom will provide lots of iron for the roots. I would put Flourite on top so it can hold down the Turface (middle layer). Turface is very light and I had a problem planting initially. The Flourite on top will give it some weight to hold everything down.
