Yes, they are essentially the same thing.

Cant find the color quartz? Pool shops, pool builders, one of my local fish shops carries a nice black sand. Personally I prefer Turface/SMS over colorquartz.

On the right, click where to buy - leave it as all applicators and distributors, put in California, and search through them...

I have Turafce and it is very light. I can't even put my siphon into the gravel or it will end up in my bucket. I basically skim the surface to pick up loose debris.

Hi,

I know it's a pain. I searched for this stuff for a few days. Many local pool applicators refused to sell to me.

However, after a few days of digging. I found some sellers that sell 3M ColorQuartz T Grade for around $20.00/bag, S grade is a bit cheaper I think.

I haven't got mine yet, but now I know where to get them.

National Pool Tile Group will sell 3M ColorQuartz to you.

these two are in southern california. You can call them to find out other locations.

You don't have to tell them what it's for...

Hi,

Where did you get the SMS in SoCal? I'm in San Diego and having problems getting them.

keep us updated on the ColorQuartz too. I like to know how it goes with those 2 stores.
