Question about Flourite in a new set-up.

I'm taking down a 10 gallon talk that had peat moss in it. This peat moss came from the LFS in blocks and I didn't know better so there are 3 blocks of it under the gravel.

When I set-up my 20 gallon should I use this peat moss? Break it up on the bottom and then put down the Flourite? OR Should I just use the flourite substrate on it's own?

Cycling won't be an issue as I'm going to wait a few weeks before I hardscape and plant.

A little peat never hurts, however I would not use
3 blocks, just enough to lightly cover the glass then
cover with substrate.

Be sure to wash the Flourite good or you will have a mess.

So maybe use one block broken up on the very bottom? Would this help with cycling the tank since it's been in there for a year.

Depending on how big the block is, I could not
say "use one block".
What I can say is lightly cover the bottom glass
with peat, just enough that you don't see glass.

More or less does not hurt so don't be afraid of it.

If it is mulmmy that will certainly help in the cycle.

Add old tank water to the new tank for even better
results.

Well I broke the blocks of peat up and put it down. I then put the Flourite right over it. Check the Photo Album for my Journal.
