long term substrate

iam looking for a long term sub.iam setting up a 125 gal.and dont want to tear it down in a couple of years.any suggestions?

There's alot of debate out there about how long substrates last... from my personal research, in the end there's not that much difference in the commercial substrates, you're going to have to fertilize no matter what.

I ended up picking a substrate that would provide nutrients (as opposed to completely inert) b/c I'm going with alot of swords that feed through their roots, one that I liked the color and grain size, and one that I wouldn't have to worry overmuch about clouding the water every time I went to replant- so I picked Eco Complete.
