Flourite Black

Don't know if this question is answered already, do you have to wash it like the original flourite before putting it in the tank or just leave it as it is and fill the water in slowly without any disturbance?

Flourite always needs rinsing in my opinion, although I know people who haven't. From my knowledge its the same thing as Flourite original; except black.. So yes I would rinse it.

I use fluorite black on most of my tanks. I did light rinsing on my first time--didn't do that much.

Since then, I don't rinse anything, I find that the really fine particles might be important for the plants to get established.

Sure it gets really cloudy, but it settles down in a couple of days with some a filter dedicated with filter floss set on maximum pump power.
