caribsea sand info


So, my Spec V now has caribsea (Tahitian moon) at the bottom. It's really pretty and all. But now I'm thinking about adding the plants and upgrading the light. (as well as getting rocks and scape the living hell out of the tank

Can plants grow well in that sand or do I need to add/change it?

I have the same sand in 2 tanks. The sand is innert, does not contain nutrients. For heavy root feeders I add Osmocote+ tabs and fertilize the water column for the rest.

This is my 40B with CaribSea Tahitian Moon sand. Lower light, no co2:
