Planting in ADA Amazonia

I am starting a new tank using amazonia. I ordered some plants that will not be in till next week. Can i fill my tank with water now or should i wait. The directions say to plant before you fill the tank above the level of the substrate. Can you add plants after the tank is full? What problems will this cause?

If you add water now, it will be very difficult to get the substrate the way you want it.
You can plant with a full tank but its much easier to plant before you fill it.

Just curious but why do you want to fill it now?

Sent using these stoopid hooves..

It's easier to wait and plant...once you got the plants, wet the substrate first then do the planting...then fill up the tank.
You will have chances to add more plants to the tank when you do water changes.

Plan it out! You're not going to be happy with aquasoil if you are in a hurry. You should have your hard scape completely dialed in before you even think about putting water in the tank. All of your planting layout is best done right before you fill the tank like others and the instructions have said. Plan it out!

Thanks for the advice. Ill wait. I have some plants that have been surviving in a bucket for a couple weeks but they are hardy ones and they should make it a little longer. Its hard to look at a empty tank though. As im sure you know. haha
