Question Contaminated rocks?

hi all,

might be setting up 2 new planted aquarias anytime soon and i've found some old rock which i've bought about a year ago.

thing is. these rocks have been sitting on my balcony for quite some time. and since my balcony is also my garden i'm afraid my rocks might have been contaminated with insecticide or any undesireable substances that will harm my aquarium.

is there any way of making sure my rocks are entirely safe when putting them in? like methods of "de-toxing" them or smth.

please help!

Just wash them. Soap, water, and a scrub brush is all you need.

If you wanna get real geeky, spray with isopropyl alchohol and rinse a ton. That breaks up just about everything.

I use "Found rocks" in my tank... I just clean with soap and water... then boil for a while and bake at high heat in the oven... probably overkill, but it works for me.
