Washing SoilMaster Select

Ive read several posts in here on how to "wash" the substrate. Some of the described methods are good. I really liked Rex's described method.

My question is will the substrate every run clean? Some say no, cause it's fired clay, and clay only stops producing dust until it's completely gone.

Makes sense to me. Whats the general consensus on this?

Thanks!

I tried rinsing it, never ran clear for me. I don't waste time rinsing it now, it is just as clear not rinsing. The trick is to fill it slowly by pouring the water onto a plate or at least something that will prevent the substrate from being disturbed.
