Can't Get Soilmaster Select (charcoal)...

Well, after reading all the glowing remarks about Soilmaster Select (charcoal), I cannot get it. Lesco has none in PA, only in Conneticut. Will not ship 2-3 bags for me...

So, I need recommendations for something close to Soilmaster in a dark color for a 125 gallon tank. Any thoughts?

Turface Pro League

Pretty much the same thing as Soilmaster Select. Profile's information number is, 1.800.207.6457. Try giving them a call and see if they have any PA distributors.

Lynn -- Unfortunately I need to get setup prior to end of this month, but I appreciate the offer. I would imagine shipping from NY to 17754 would be costly...

bharada -- Turface does not appear to come in black that I can see.

Thanks,

Ted

Ted,
It comes in charcoal. It's about the same color as the Soilmaster Select charcoal.

I currently have it in my 120 and 40g tanks (see link in my sig).

I called Lesco to order it, they told me to call another store on the other side of Ohio and have them ship it to me. I didn't call.

I went online and ordered it and choose to pick up at my local store. It took about a week and then it came in and they called me. The store told me it was their first online order ever.

Funny thing was they didn't just tack it on to a regular shipping order, they had each bag (2) boxed up and had them shipped to the store by UPS! Then when I went to pay it was $11 something a bag instead of $13 something, plus I didn't pay shipping.

One bag was enough and the other is still boxed up if anyone wants to pay shipping...

Light plants seem to have trouble staying planted in it.

According to one of the workers in Lancaster (third shop I called), there are only 47 bags east of the Mississippi. 30 in Conneticut, 16 somewhere else in upper NE and 1 in NJ. Zero in PA.

Put order in, will see what happens.

The bags in "Upper NE" are prolly the ones at the Worcester location. That's where mine was shipped from. I could have driven there, but, the guy I talked to just had it shipped to their store (which is only 5-10 miles away from me) with their other materials they have shipped from the same location. When the guy asked me what i was using it for, he said that's what he they had thought. The guy in Worcester said he stocks it just for the "Aquarium guys" I thought that was really cool of him! Too bad you live so far away from me, or you'd be able to get it No Problem!

I originally place my order online, but after a week I didnt hear anything. I emailed the Lesco customor support address with my account info and order info. They got back to me the next day and they called the local store and placed the order for me. Three day's later I got a call from the local store telling me my order was in, I went and picked it up yesterday. Ill have to check and see were they were shipped from when I get home from work tonight.
