Dirted tank

So im going to set up a planted tank and was thinking about dirting it. I was just curious on what to do after the fertilizer in the soil runs out.

So do i leave the dirt in there and ow long does the dirt last before the nutrients are exhausted?

A year, maybe two, maybe more. Fish waste adds nutrients to your soil, keeping it rich enough for plant growth. When it does run out of nutrients, Jobes root spikes, plus the fish waste, will be enough for the plants tho thrive on
