Don't buy the Miracle-Gro. I believe it has fertilizers. That is exactly what you don't want. Buy the most generic peat you can find, and make sure it has no fertilizers.

In college....so no aquariums for a while.....

Not always. Peat moss is almost always sphagnum based. But it's ground up.

I can't see why buying peat moss is do damn hard for people. I have about 6 cubic feet here at the house. I guess I should just make it easy and start selling it so people are not confused on what to buy.

The peat moss you want is ground peat moss. And I buy it in compressed bales. It also comes in bags. Either way you will end up with much more than you need.

If you want peat moss I will fill up a quart bag and ship it to you. I will need to fill one and weigh it so I can figure out the shipping charges.

I just bought a bag of Shultz Sphagnum peat moss, I only filled up a sandwhich bag and gave the rest to my mom for her gardening/plant stuff. But yea its damn cheap, less than $3 for 8 quarts, you can get it at any walmart, just ask the workers in the garden section ... if not just buy it from Rex, either way you'll end up with peat moss.
