Brick Coco Peat in the HOB Filter

I got some and been considering it for a soft water tank setup. I want to use it in an HOB. Anyone been experimenting with it in their HOB?

What plants and how's the growth?

I think coir is neutral, sorry.

Whoops, u think inert is the word I was looking for. It shouldn't alter params.
