Oil Dry or SafeT Sorb?

hello I'm trying to go with a clay based substrate and I want o know people's opinions on Safe T Sorb and Oil Dry.

How big are the particles and how do these hold up under water. Also do these lower the pH/ hardness of the water? I want something that will do that as well.

Also I will be mixing it with some flourite that I already have so the substrate being too light is not really a problem.

Thanks

Sean
