New Gravel But Minor Problem

I just got some new gravel...plain white/pink. I changed my old gravel from my 40 gallon and replaced it with this. They told me to wash it so I did a bit, however, after putting it into the water, it became sorta clouded. The water bubbles seem a lot can you splits a lot more...there's a lot more tiny bubbles than before. Also...I woke up this morning and the tank is darker than before.

Is this normal....should I do water changes or not?

By the way...gravel is called Spectra Stone from Estes'

Strange. Most of that epoxy coated stuff is fairly inert. Wonder if you found a bad batch.
