Orchid mix

Hello,

I was wondering if someone ever used orchid mix as part of substrate?

Like the Schultz Orchid mix, looks like clay pieces.

Any feedback? Is it too lightweight?

Thank you, Michel.

Isn't it all bark? That will just float and cause problems.

There's lots of orchid mixes out there. Some even have bits of carbon. But I think BruceF's thoughts are valid. Even if it isn't 100% floating material, orchid mixes will be close to it.

Might work in a riparium mix with clay pellets to soften water?
