Flora Base floats?

I just bought some FLORABASE on impulse. I read here that it floats?

Is there a certain way to add this to an established tank?

thanks

It does not. It sinks, but is not very dense. I poured mine in and added water, and raised a huge cloud of fines which settled/filtered out in about 4 hours.

Like such similar products of base fertilizer (if I'm right florabase that I know is a base fert), this product should be used at the bottom layer, covered by substrate. Or mix with a little bit of substrate and bury in a layer of substrate.

I did a little research on florabase as substrate and found one made by redsea. Sounds like porous light substrate that can be tossed around quite easily in water... That will be an isue on some current when planting cuttings.
