How to gravel vac if heavily planted.

I'm afraid plants may be pulled out when gravel cleaning. Because my 20 gal. cube is heavily planted you cant see the gravel any more because of dense plants. how can I remove the grunge in the gravel.

What about using Malaysian Trumpet Snails to burrow in the substrate and eat the dead plant matter ect. as well as mix up your substrate?

Sincerely, Unikorn

Gravel vacuuming is a noobish thing to do. There is no reason at all to vacuum your gravel, ever.
