PH raising substrate

Ok so I have Flourite that has been in my tank for about 6 months. I am thinking about keeping shrimp but my well water reeds 0 GH/KH and 5.5 PH (so weird because no pollutants and no water conditioner) but I was wondering if there was something I could put in the tank such as large rocks or some type of gravel or something to keep my PH/KH/GH up so I dont have to keep buying expensive chemicals. I also don't want to have to spend a ton on these items either. Thanks for your suggestions.

You could try seiryu stones. It raises your ph, gh, and kh, and they look relly nice .

Where can I get these and how much do they cost. Aren't they gray because I have dark brown flourite and I don't think they will look good but its worth a shot.

Coral chips are another one to try. Just put a small amount in a filter bag. With 0KH, it won't take much to shoot your PH up.

You could try checking craigslist, or your LFS. If all else fails order online.

If you have zero hardness, it's going to take more than crushed coral to make your water safe for shrimp.

Not all remineralizing products are too expensive. Shirakura CA+ may be the most expensive at about $17 but it lasts a long time. Depending upon the type of shrimp you want to keep, even Kent RO Right could suffice. Or the products by Fluval.

Some others: Salty Shrimp, Mosura Mineral Plus Ultra, Benibachi.
