Shelf Life Of Unopened ADA Aquasoil Amazonia "New"?

Can't believe I have to ask a question about how long I can store a substrate - especially something as great as Amazonia New.

I know people have kept unopened bags of Amazonia I & II for months at a time with no problem. But has anybody kept Amazonia "New" in storage for more than six months? If you have... were there any issues you encountered?

Looks like I'm going to have leftovers after a new project and I'd ideally like to hang on to the extras if I can.

Thanks!

Jake

Pretty much it's just dirt. Does dirt have a shelf life?

This is extra-special fancy dirt from Japan, though. It can break down and moisture can be lost. And I'm sure nutrients fade over time - that's my primary concern.

You could keep it in storage for a year easily with no issues. That's the longest I've seen it go. The sealed bag does a lot to retain moisture.

Perfect! Thanks for chiming in, oh ADA Wise One.

I was fishing for an excuse to hoard as much dirt as possible.
