Finest Sand available

I need to buy some some sand that is very fine. I'm setting up a 55 gallon, and I'm gonna put a small patch of sand for a school of corydoras I'm gonna put in and I want the sand to be very fine so they can sift through it without wearing down their whiskers.

People have used pool filter sand with corydoras and they will be fine. If youre just gonna have a small patch, it may be annoying when it starts to mix.

@Chrisinator
Looked it up on google, Looks great, Thanks.
I know I can't stop it from mixing, but I'll try my best to keep it in one area.

Pool filter sand is also extremely easy to clean compared to other sand substrates! A 50lb pound bag goes for $5Good luck!

You may not need it. The corys may not stay in the sand anyway. It might just be pointless, especially if you are using a smoother main substrate.

Also substrates mix extremely easily.

Other substrates do not wear away their barbles. High nitrates are more to blame. I see my Cories sifting though all the different substrates. They do not seem to understand when there is a 'sandbox' for them.

I understand that you have to train them to use the "sandbox". I suppose you have to rub their noses in it if they miss the sandbox. (It's possible I'm thinking of some other pet........)

Its also for aesthetic purposes, and the fact that I don't have enough eco- complete to fill a 55 gallon with a 3 inch depth.
