What to add to Safe T Sorb

I just bought 3 bags of Safe T Sorb to use in my upcoming 125 gallon project. I have been thinking of adding a thin layer of Osmocote Plus when I start the tank up. After the initial set up I will continue to fertilize using root tabs (Osmocote Plus) Is there anything else that would be beneficial to add to the Safe T Sorb when I first set up the tank? I know that the dirt folks add a lot of other stuff, but not sure if any of it would be needed in my case.

You might do a search on 'charging' it. It is one of the porous clays that grab cations and you could see if soaking it in a fertilized solution before setting up the tank would grab some cations.

If you have an established healthy tank stick some mulm from the filter under the new substrate too.

I should have mentioned that I will be combining the Safe T Sorb with the SMS/Turface blend that's in my 55 now.
