Mixing Eco Complete w/Ada Aqua soil

Has anyone ever tried this? This is for a 20 gallon tank, I was hoping to go all Ada Aqua soil but i'm limited on funds now and only got enough ADA for 10 gallons and a 20 pound bag of Eco complete.

If no one has tried this, then how would you recommend doing the layers?

Ada on bottom and Eco on top or Blend it all together?

Ada on bottom, Eco on top. It's like having really expensive top soil...

Why not mix it with a substrate that looks similar to Aquasoil?

Fluval Stratum is cheap. Azoo Plant Grower Bed and a few others are, as well.

Because I already have a bag of eco lying around. Do any of those actually have any nutrients in them or is it another false advertisement bag?

I mixed ADA Power Sand plus under Eco. Plants are growing like crazy and flowering.
