About clay using

Hello, I am planning to use the mineralized soil method as my new tank substrate. I was struggling on the choices of clay as I can't find any pottery clay near home. (I found some from the online shop but the shipping was so costy) So I was wondering can modeling clay (like this one) be used in aquarium or would that cause any problem? Please give me some suggestion

I also found something like this one.

I 'd suggest you search out a local Potter to a Pottery class and see if they might sell you a pound of Powdered Red Art Clay. Most of them will buy in bulk and you only need a small amt.

Pretty sure I have a big bag of this if anyone's interested. I'd have to double check real quick.

Edit: I checked and yeah I have about 20lbs left over from a dart frog viv along with ~35lbs of bentonite. Whether its sodium or calcium I'm not sure though.
